We play an uplifting World fusion, East African vocals and rhythms with a Latin/Ska ‘Caribbean’ backbeat.
We write all our material, developing our unique ‘Solo-sound’, warm, groovy , happy and engaging. We sing in Giryama, Kiswahili and English with four part vocal harmonies. Audiences naturally join in.
Line-up includes: melodica, trombone, trumpet, violin, double bass, guitar, Cajon, Congas, African drums and percussion… and lots of vocals.
The band is made up entirely of experienced musicians. Many of us have been playing together for up to 30 years and have played with many of the classic Ska Reggae and Dub bands from the 80’s to the present.
